Well the impossibility lies in the fact that no one knows what the other pollinator plant was, if there was one. Im pretty sure they can self pollinate. 2 common whites as parents you should get a white. However if you buy seeds from a plant like a dark red or multi colored your chances of having something similar are just as equal. Genetically you will never get the exact same plant. Jungle Jacks California Sunset is a seedling of Penang Peach. To me they look very similar but they are different.

to answer your question about the 10. All of them "could" look like the mother but just as equal "none" of them could. That is why the only way to guarantee the same is by cuttings.

Thanks for the follow up Mike.....thats what I figured but I guess I just needed to hear someone else say it. This is the first year that I'm growing seedlings so I'm pretty new to this. I'm just hoping to get seedlings that will appear close to the same as the mother plant but I guess I won't know until they eventually flower. Thanks for the input though.

I haven't heard anything definitive about plumeria genetics... I chose seeds that seemed like they'd throw something interesting... Penang Peach, JL Pink Pansy, and a Waimea... Then I couldn't resist Carnival from Matt H...
I kept only about five of each... Cuz I don't need almost 100 seedlings in my yard! I can't wait to see.
I kept many of my seedlings with red trunks and leaves, hoping for more pink/red but I don't know if that is sound advice, either! Years may tell :).
