How fresh were they when you got them? 2.5 weeks should have been plenty long enough given the right conditions. I think a bit of your impatience has delayed them. Seeds of all type prefer a constant moisture and temperature to germinate and you have changed that quit a bit. My method now is to wrap them in a moist towel, I get one completely wet then squeeze out all i can. Put in a ziplock baggie in a warm spot and usually in a week or so they sprout depending on how fresh they are. Misting them a couple times per day as they sit now should be fine. they dont look like they are rotting to me

The seedlings were pretty fresh. Not even two weeks old. I think the temperature may have done them in. When I got them, it had been pretty even keeled inside and out (no more than 5-10 degree difference), but then, it started dropping during the evening and getting hotter during the day, so there was more like a 20-25 degree difference. Oh my poor seedlings. What did I do?

Hopefully things will get better now that they have constant heat and 12-14 hours of light. And glad to hear they're not rotting.

I guess I was too impatient, huh? Okay, I will leave my little seedlings to do their thing and hope for the best. I will spray them in the morning and evening to keep them moist (hopefully it's moist enough).

I wanted to see how wet the soil is after I spray. I dug on the edge nearest the actual pot, pretty far away from the seedling. The soil was moist to about 1/4" deep. Under that the soil was bone dry. It could be a bit more moist nearest the seedling.

Too dry? Should I give it a bit more water?
