You'll probably get all sorts of answers on this one. It varies from one type of plumeria to another. I've read a suggestion that one type should be brought in if temp is expected to drop below 55. However, I've never had that one, so I don't know if that's true or not. I believe 40 degrees is when I'd start bringing mine in.

I found that mine can stand to be outside at nighttime with temps at around 52F or so. Also I have discovered that my Plastic Pink / Royal Hawaiian can stand temps down to 48F without getting damaged.

But I agree with jperilloux, I'd defiantly bring them in at 40F or even 45-50F just to be safe because you don't want to lose your babies an all that hard work growing them. :)

i agree. mid to low 40's is when i start to get worried.

much below 60 and I would bring them in to prevent bud drop. Other than that I don`t bring mine in unless a hard freeze is predicted, even then there are a bunch that stay in the ground. Prior to Ike mine went through a couple of hard freezes-lost tips on one slaughter pink, some damage to a trunk from snow-again slaughter pink and that is about it.

They will drop their leaves when they get too cold.
