Seedling Roundup

Hi all!!

This IS my first rodeo with seedlings and was wondering if you guys and gals had any input/suggestions for the future of my youngsters.

I started them last fall from seeds I got from Thailand... no idea what the parent plant is... they just called them a 'mixed lot' ... they are about 9 or 10 months old.

I had about 35 germinate out of 100 (the dog decapitated one) so I guess I have 34 that have grown up. They are all currently in #1 pots, but I'm thinking about putting them in #2's because they dry out really fast.

In the picture you can use the blocks in the wall as reference - they are 8" high. The tallest seedling is about 24" from the soil line... a few have developed multi-trunks... some have 16" long leaves... and a few have trunks 3/4" to 7/8" diameter.

Is this considered average or good growth for the first season? Do I need to do anything to prepare them for winter? Hard to believe it's August already...
