Mary Moragne...amazing

uglyhair

Recently picked this up from a long term plumeria junkie. It has been blooming non stop. Flowers not only look amazing, but the flowers last forever, and it has a great smell....home run.

Anybody else have this? When I google Mary Moragne, the pics of see do not entirely look the same?

I'm in Ventura, California with our hot steamy summer days of 70-75.

Cheers, Mike

That's a really different flower. 70-75? I'd have to wear a jacket and gloves!

That is beautiful. My temps during the day are 88-95, high 70's at night. I would love to have just highs of 70s

Bill, thanks for the post. Your KIMI M looks like my plant.....i'm guessing the seller got his Moragne tags mixed up (he has a lot of Moragne plumeria).

Love all the Moragnes....really amazing plants.

    Hi,
here is my Mary Moragne , which bloomed today in Texas. It looks like a totally different flower from either one of you. Are you sure it is Mary Moragne?

Jackie, you crack me up. No kidding!

Mike, that does look a lot like Kimi. Nice find.

I know some of you will want to smack me around for my nay-saying, but I have to agree with George on Mary M. I thought it always had that distinctive orange center?

    I'm gonna run away now.

There's 50+ pictures of Mary M. on Don Herron's DVD, all (except Roger's)look more like Mike's picture than Bill's or George's. Bill, your first picture looks very similar to my Magnum Opus in shady, cool weather.

George, did you get any rain the past couple of days? All we got was a little thunder. Hoping for rain today.
70's! I would love to see a 70 temp, day or night.

    Beachplant,

no rain here. Just a few drops.

    Dewaine,
look at the lower right corner flower. It is identical to mine. Look at the center and the lower petal pink stripe. The blooms fade in time. My blooms faded in the heat. In cooler weather the flower is more pink. I bought mine from Eulas Stanford. My plant is a Mary Moragne.

Sorry George, I wasn't doubting that you're plant was a Mary M. I should have looked closer before opening my mouth. Upon closer inspection, I found several photos that look very much like your picture.

    Uglyhair,
Your Moragne looks like my Grainy Moragne.
    Here is mine

This was taken during June gloom couple seasons ago. Ive seen Grainy @ Upland during full heat and it looks a bit different, more red with veining.

So Mike, I am wanting Mary and Sally Moragne from our Moragne specialist...what are the odds they will be the ones that are tagged? I have Royal Hawaiian from him I am hoping it is that. The one I have marked KIMI is not her, BUT, I like the bloom and the smell and the tree is taking off.....so, there ya go I guess... :-) roxanne
