I'm in Florida so no major leaf drop yet, but most have slowed down, not putting out as many new leaves and some bottom leaves are beginning to turn yellow on the ones that like to go dormant earlier than others.

I cut the leaves off and let the stem fall off, before they go inside but mine in South Florida I always just let them drop themselves because there was no need to protect them in the winter.

I agree about getting cuttings or very newly rooted ones but if they are larger plants rooted last year, or early this year, they could be a bargain. Just keep them growing through the winter, try to not let them go dormant with warm temps, humidity and a little water. If they do drop the leaves, then no water except maybe 1/2 cup once a month if you are keeping the temps 70 degrees or warmer.

I am already getting a lot of yellowing leaves. It seems quite early to me but our weather has been much cooler this year. Currently, I am debating on whether or not to heat my greenhouse this year. My fear is that it is going to be a cold one. But, according to some winter outlook maps I have seen, they are calling for above average temps.

Will I, or won't I... that is the question. :)

I probably will not attempt many cuttings this winter, even with a heat mat and lights.
