First grafting attempt!

It's been almost 30 days (erm, close enough), so I pulled the tape off my graft. I think it's looking pretty good - it seems solid, and there's new growth at the tip of the plant. The graft is up pretty high, mostly because I wanted to give myself plenty of room to mess up if I had to re-cut, etc. I think this plumie needs to be replanted in a bigger pot, though, so whenever I do that, I'll plant it a little lower. The scion is a generic red from the ABC store that was starting to rot at the lower end. The rootstock is a generic yellow from Home Depot.

I followed these directions:
Ampol's Grafting Tutorial

and used this grafting knife:
Victorinox Grafting Knife

I also made a template with the shape of the cut, and traced it on to each part so that they would be close to the same angle when cut.

After I took the pictures, I taped 2 small bamboo sticks to either side of the graft to help support it while it continues to heal.
