fertilizer question

Today I recently switched to a organic 16-16-16 fertilizer for my plumies that are not blooming. its my first time using this. Before I was using a liquid 10-15-10 from OSH.

This new stuff stinks to high heaven! Fish meal, blood meal ,kelp etc. .... its got all this good stuff in it.

Is this a suitable fertilizer to use during this time? I was also considering adding some epsom salt as well but I am no chemist and do not want to kill my trees. WOuld that be too much to give the trees?

This stuff stinks so bad by the way!!! LOL
