Okay, so we rode bikes to the county fair today. Visited the plumeria booth we did....big mistake on labels 15 years ago when I bought my first. The gal came running out to ask what the one was in my hair....I said Vera Cruz Rose....she says...."do you have the BLACK one from Hawaii?????" Seriously???? She called it Black Dahlia..... Really!!!!!! Any other scams at your local fairs? roxanne

I have been lucky enough to purchase most of my grove in person from PSA growers or trusted Hawaiian growers. I would say the least safe would have been the Aloha Swap Meet. But even then they were fun buys..."Hawaii Dark Red" and "Boy" (J says Boy stands for big orange yellow).

No kidding. We have all learned the hard way....no "blues" , No Blacks and no polka dot ones w/stripes....

She had heard of the blue ones on Ebay...hahahaha roxanne
