Plumeria At the Los Angeles Arboretum

I've wanted to go to the LA Arboretum for quite a while but never got the chance until today. And to my surprise, they had a banner indicating it was plumeria season! I was in!

It's a bit of a walk to where the trees are, but hey, they are plumeria so I had to check them out. It's a nice collection of trees (I'd estimate 20-25 in all) and they are all labeled, so you can tell exactly what you're looking at. I was loving it! There were some seed pods as well, but they were covered with netting, so they remained on the trees and none returned in my pocket. No cuttings either. The only thing I took was pictures...and a few flowers to share with my family that didn't want to make the trek.

I would have stayed for a long time, but my daughter gave me the "I HAVE to pee" speech so we headed back down to reality.

If you're in the area, definitely check it out, but it is a bit of a hike so be prepared.

AND.... there is a guided tour on 8/23!

Enjoy!

Cheers!
