Blossoms turning brown before opening

I am quite excited that this year all but one of my plumies are blooming. I have only been collecting for about 5 years ago. I have one who seemed to go into a bit of a funk when transplanted into my new planter. It has a huge inflo, and a lot of leaves that are getting ready to open. Each day I look to see if the flowers have opened up yet. This last Saturday we had 105 plus temperature. When I came home from training my labradors in the field (my other hobby, hunt tests), I went to check and the ones that were getting ready to open had turned brown.

Was this from the heat? Any suggestions?

a product called Protek is good for too much heat and for preping the plants for cold. I get it at Orange County Farm Supply in Orange, calif.

Thanks, I will get some. So frustrating. And then today, we had rain. Go figure. Thanks again!

If you go to OCFS ask for Chris Roy. He is a collector and knows all the best products for plumerias. Mention me, Bill from Costa Mesa, as Chris and I go way back trading plants and talking products. Bill

Thanks Bill, I had the same problem with my plumerias I'll be going there on Monday, I'm out of pumice so I'll be getting the Protek too. Is getting cooler in this area, this season was really short. :(

Thanks again Bill, I will get over there myself in the next couple of days. I would love to hear any suggestions he has to offer. This weather has been so strange this year. My plumerias last winter never lost all of their leaves, because our winter was so warm.
