Pretty Princess end of year show

Not sure why, but just like last year Pretty Princess waited until September to start its big show with the best color. 5 or 6 inflo's actually blooming and about 4-5 starting to form.... wish we had another 3 months of growing season.

Very beautiful! My friends are going to Hawaii. I may ask them to bring me one or two cuttings. :)

Okay Mike, you have now got me putting PP at the top of next season's list already rooted. Also a Musk Rainbow I guess. HHHMMMM, which 2 to get rid of to make room. New rule in our tiny yard: One in.....one out! roxanne

Mike, that's spectacular! And blooming on multiple inflos is a pretty good sign of a generous bloomer. She seems to enjoy the late hot spell you've had.

How old is your plant, anyway?

Rox, sorry to stir the pot and get your acquisitive juices going. But PP is a unique plant, I love the large clusters of flowers and intense colors it can get. Strangely, it wasn't until this new info opened after the heat passed that I am seeing the most intense colors. Earlier in the summer it was more of a muted pinkish white with yellow/orange veining but now it's a pink and orange bombshell.

And jandey, I've had the PP since 2008. The first five years I had it in a pot, 10 gallons as of 2012. Didn't grow well for me, it was in part of the yard that ended up not getting much sun in late summer/fall/winter, had a lot of blacktip, and it was struggling, only had a few flowers in 2011 and 2012 that were small and faded. So in 2013 it was a choice between putting in the ground or throwing out and boy am I glad i decided to keep it. Once in a sunny spot in the ground it bounced back, finally flowering decently last year and now this year flowering even better. After two years in the ground the tree is about 4x as large as when I planted it and has recovered from the years of neglect.

It is definitely in my top five plumeria.

What a beautiful plumeria!

Although the heat wave has passed, I'm seeing the most intense colors on my plumeria now. too.

Just what I need! Definitely going on my list for next year!
