Its finally here. The first bloom from my pretty princess plumeria. This will be the second plumeria I ever got to bloom.

Im expecting the bud to open by tommorrow afternoon, and the bud is about 1 and a half inches tall (which means the flowers are probably at least 3 inches wide). Im going to post the pictures tommorrow, but wanted to give you all a heads up.

Good luck with all your plumerias and feel free to post some of your pics on here too!

Sorry but it doesnt look like it will be blooming today. The biggest bud grew up to 2 inches long today so The flower will probably be 4 inches wide! Im looking forward to seeing it.

I do have a question though. Are the buds of a pretty princess plumeria suppost to be white? The leaves look like that of a pretty princess, but I thought the flowers of it were suppost to be pinkish. The buds of my pretty princess plumeria are white (maybe a hit of red on the rim of it, not sure yet).
If anyone has an answer for this I would greatly appreciate it, and Ill try to get those pics up for tommorrow :)

Good luck!

I did promise some pictures today, so even though the flower isnt fully open yet Im going to post it.

Sorry the quality isnt great because it was dark when I took the picture (and the room its in doesnt have great lighting). Ill post a better pic tommorrow afternoon, but until then... I hope you enjoy this one!

RE: pretty princess plumeria blooms.

My inflo is crumbling!!!!!!!!

At least I it got to make a full bloom open, but Ill be lucky if I get 4 flowers from the plumeria because buds are dropping like crazy. Entire pieces of the inflo are falling off with ease and I dont know why. The only bugs I reported are ants and they were hanging around the inflo. area.

My other plumeria is in the same room and its blooming better than ever before so I dont think the climate of the room has anything to do with it. In this room temps have ranged between 68.9F - 90.0F (average of about 78-82F)and humidity has ranged from 30% (which was brief) to 74%. Average humidity has been in the 60% range.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Since the plant is doing so badly I might even force it into dormancy and make room for a plant that needs the spot more.

Enjoy the pics anyway! I was looking forward to seeing more of these flowers but I guess I will have to wait until next year :(

The blooms smell great too! But I guess plumerias arent really ment to bloom indoors anyway and at least I got to see what the flowers look like (before a plumeria blooms you are always wondering what their flowers look like, but you can never look at that same plumeria again once the blooms are all finshed.

Good luck everyone!
