This should work, depending on how many plumies you have. The T5 lights put out a lot of light for relatively low electricity use. This link also has different lengths and bulb count (2 and 4 bulbs), depending how big you need it. This price is about as low as you can get.

I have had my seedlings and 2 cuttings only under 8-4' T5 HO 54watt lamps for about a month now, 12 hours per day. I only have 4100k lamps but they seem to be doing just fine. Keep in mind these types of lamps can put out some heat so dont have them as close to the plants as you would a T8 lamp fixture.

T8 lamps in full spectrum can and will do just as well as T5 is just takes more of them to achieve the same light output.

Your goal is to give the plants as many Lumens as possible and how you achieve that is up to your personal preference and budget.

Hi there! How old are your plants and how many do you have? Depending on how many, you may be able to just replace the bulb in the florescent fixture since they sell the grow bulbs individually, probably even at Home Depot. If you need more than that then Del is right, the link he gave you is actually who I bought my T5's from and it's pretty much the best pricing and vendor feedback around - it looks like you and I have been doing the same research Del! I've bought 2 of the 4x4 fixtures from him.

The T5's are the latest and greatest - they also don't get as hot as many of the other lights. I've had mine on for 10 hours and they weren't that hot. I hung mine from the ceiling - I bought 2 big screw in hooks and we screwed them into the ceiling joist, I went to Lowes and had them cut me 2 lengths of chain which came out to less than $6, and I bought a bag of S hooks. Hung the chains from the hooks, then an S hook from the chain to the built in loop on the light fixture. The best part? It's all completely adjustable.
