Question regarding lumps on branches

Posted by Plumerians none (My Page) on

Dear all,

our Plumy has two branches and is about 4feet high :) We now noticed little lumps on the branches which are growing out. Are these air-roots or even new branches? Attached you can find a picture.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us,

RE: Question regarding lumps on branches

What is the scratch/crack that looks like it girdles the branch (just to the right of the bump in the picture)? I am NOT a plumeria expert by any means, but a complete cut around the branch may explain things... Are you sure that someone didn't knock it over and super glue it back together? I don't want to get anyone into trouble... :)

Swelling at the leaf scars can be normal for certain varieties. Is it grown from seed?
