Spider Mites

So...I made a little encloser for some small plumerias that are beingoing stored in the garage.

All the cuttings are on a heating mat 20 x 48 with a soil temp at approximately 80 degreeso and with a grow light.

Most of the cuttings don't have leaves but some do. The ones that due now have spider mites. I already have the bayer 3 n 1 which I normally used in the warm months and it works great. The question I have is would should I apply it...spray or hand wipe each leaf?

The cuttings are about 16 to 20 inches tall...wit ten leaves. These cuttings are close together as they are on the same heat map and I am also wondering if I should spray the cuttings without the leave as well?

If their is another way to deal the the bugs without spraying the cuttings I'll consider that too.

The only reason I am concerned about spraying them is that I don't want to get too much water into the pots and then cause other rotting problems.
