bag rooting

So I am thinking about trying to bag root this coming year. I read a bunch on this forum and other throughout the Internet. Even after reading a bunch I still have a few questions then seem would be obvious...but not for me.

I was planning using perlite and cocout coir...which from reating will be damp after to add the water a day squeeze dry? Say 50 50 mix?

Don't add any water and place the cutting in. Question one is does the "soil" mixture need to be packed tightly with no air in the bag or should it be loose? Thinking this out it would seem that it would need to be tight so the cutting doesn't flop around and break the roots off.

Then leave it alone...right.

Second question is I was planning on start this in February or early March...which sometimes is still a bit cooler so I was planning on putting them on a heating mat. Would it be okay tof set them directly on the mat set at 80 degrees or put them onto something else on the mat? Also is the 80 degrees a good temperature or should it be higher?

So far I think this will answer my questions.
