I have only a fence on the back side of my garden, but I am going to enclose it this weekend with structures that I can grow things on. Bean teepees, trellis', and such. And I am going to be careful that the veggies that demand full sun get it in the middle of the garden.

One thing about it, here in South Texas, everything loves a bit of respite from the hot afternoon sun in summer!

I am hoping that, down the road, I can edge mine with hyssop, germander, or some other very low hedge that I can keep neatly clipped.

I really like the idea of a perfectly clipped low shrub border around the whole thing - and the middle filled in with plants that are in slight dissaray. Kind of like kids in a play-pen.

Kids in a play pen . . . . that rather describes ME in the garden :-)

The sun thing is why I want to use the double-hoop wire fencing. I need to fence the potager to keep critters out. Well, to discourage them, anyway. The main one being my beagle. And it does look nice to have some kind of visual separation from the rest of the garden.
