| Edna,
Did you get your raised beds planted?? What are you putting in them? You Westcoast folks can get your hands dirty alot faster than me. I'm in green envy right now. georgeanne |

| Yes, Edna, inquiring minds want to know. : ) This is the time of year we get out rain in CA. and No. CA. has been getting dumped on. Maybe she's taken shelter at Annie's. I know I'd practically live there if it was near me. I'd be a poor girl but I'd be happy poor girl. : ) Diana |

| Dumping is right. I got caught in a hail storm on the freeway for the second time in 2 weeks. So I learned a lesson: 4WD does not work on hail balls. Luckily when I slid, I slid in the opposite direction of the cliff and other cars. I really couldn't believe I didn't hit anything, and I was saying my prayers with 5 kids in the car! I will never see hail the same way again. Totally off topic! Sorry. Edna, I'm sure you have not had the chance to plant much (unless you gardened on Sunday) but maybe you've been building a stash of beauties in preparation?

| Hi girls! I just got back from Vegas yesterday and just saw this post this morning. I will post pic's on the CG forum of the gardens at the Bellagio. georgeanne - I haven't planted much because the weather has been so miserable. I managed to sow bronze fennel, mesclun mix and garlic. I have more to sow when the weather clears a bit, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, thai peppers, I can't remember what else. As for flowers I've been successful with winter sowing the perennial seeds from the seed exchange and I will eventually incorporate them into the potager. I can't remember what I WS so it should be a nice surprise to see what blooms. Diana - you hit the nail on the head, we've been dumped on with rain, snow and hail. Very unusual weather for this area. On the brighter side I had a visitor in my potager . . .a wild turkey *lol* imagine that in a suburban area. She left behind cute little foot prints in my potager. Edna |
