There is something almost sacred, I think, about knowing, understanding, the thinking and planning, the hard work and sweating, the hopefulness and the inconveniences sometimes suffered, when growing a garden. And then having not only the opportunity to look upon the results of that which you and god have created but also getting to peak into the quiet masterpiece that someone known, or maybe even completely unknown to you, has created. Then there is no denying, no misunderstanding and a complete ability to appreciate and sense, deep within, everything it took to build the masterpiece now before you. As if it were as much a part of you had you built it yourself. That is why I garden. It makes all of us one.
Well said, MeMo. If my new potager were to be half as beautiful and fruitful (and in TWO years!), I would be truly grateful. Thanks for sharing such inspiration.
