| Has anyone tried reusing an aisle runner as row cover? It's a bit narrow, but could be sewed together for a wider row. Our daughter was married a week ago, so we have plenty of it used as well as more on the roll from Jo-Ann's.
I haven't tested how much light shines through of if water permeates. That's the next step if it's worth saving. Seems stronger than the light row cover we've bought in the past. Corrine |

| I've never tried it, but it sounds like a great way to recycle, if it works! :) |

| What kind of material is the runner? I did a quick search and found that floating row covers are made from the same stuff as soda bottles (HDPE) except it's knitted to allow light/air flow. If the runner is from a bolt of fabric, I'd check the bolt ends to see what it is made from and then check the weave of the fabric against what one of your row covers looks like. |

| The floating row covers I bought last year look very much like interfacing you would buy from a fabric store. It's possible your runner might work, assuming it's not the plastic type. |
