What hot/humid weather veggies do you grow?

Posted by girlgroupgirl 8 Atlanta (My Page) on

After most greens, lettuce, radish are done in my garden, I will have blank spaces. I'm looking for unusual veggies (or anything) to have growing in hot weather.
Of course I have tomatoes, also chinese yard long beans, lima beans, malabar spinach, zuccini, summer squash, melons...but I'd like to add something else.

Suggestions please!

Nothing unusual about eggplant, okra, and peppers, but they do love the heat. Unlike me! I've already started pulling my tomato plants. Been harvesting for 7 weeks. I'll keep the 2 Sun Gold cherries going until the stink bugs take over.

Can't wait for October! LOL

Here too, nothing unusual but I love my eggplant and various bell peppers. I have some small pumkins - grown for eating, not size.

Next year I am going to plant less squash and more peppers, different varieties of tomatoe and sweet peppers.

I currently have some kind of yellow tomato ripening and it has and OUTSTANDING flavor and 'kick' to it.

I'm in zone envy! I'm just picking lettuces, sugar snap peas and strawberries!!
