| Hi Jodi, I am in the process of trying to build my own Potager. I currently have had my vegetable garden inside a fenced off plot, and don't ask me the size, as it has been so long ago that it was laid out, that I forget the dimensions. I have added 3 archways to my little plot, and am planting ornamentals, such as flowers, to the outside of it. I am planning on having a self sustaining type garden with perennial vegetables and fruits, such as asparagus, raspberries, grapes [on hold til fence is finished] rhubarb, chives, garlic, walking onions. Everything on the inside of the garden is for vegetables that are annuals such as tomatoes, peppers etc. My asparagus patch was put on hold as well, because I need to move and old clothes line, that unfortunately is embedded in about 150 lbs of cement, and I have to get a tractor in here to move it, as it is simply impossible for me to do it even with my son helping. I think we all have visions of how we want our yard/ garden to look, and I am following my own path, to what is feasible for me to achieve. Mary z 5b KS |
