Shade tolerant veggies mixed with parial shade perennials?

Hello, I'm jumping ahead to the next quarter of my round garden next year. I'm wanting more flowers that I can cut, and am thinking of partial shade plants, both perennials and annuals. I can look these up in books and other places on G. Web, but am wondering what veggies some of you might grow that tolerate partial shade, that I can mix in with the flowers. Is there such a thing? Does asparagus tolerate some shade (it might get 3 hours of sun a day, in the area I'm thinking of). I'm in zone 5, not the zone 7 of GA where we lived for 3 years...

I'm in a much warmer area than you, but I'm going to experiment next year with some cool weather veges being grown under a cover of pole beans.I'll try some lettuces arugula, basil (it bolts here in August). Actually, I grew basil under the GBeans this year and they got a bit leggy, but still did great. Some of my herbs did better in shade or part shade than sun.
Chard does well if it's not too hot.
I dunno, I'm still in the experimental stage myself.
I have an 8x8 garden, but I'll be expanding ALOT next year WOOHOO!
