The space between my house and neighbors chain link fence is about about 20 feet wide and 40 feet long and is unused by us. It gets the shade from the house but does get the noon and afternoon sun. I've thought about starting a potager to supplement my raised beds on the other side of the house that DH will no longer allow my to expand (I've already gone beyond my "designated areas" LOL... have you had good look with shaded spaces?

Is it worth clearing the space this fall or should I wait until Spring? It's currently just grass....

I have temporary fits of wanting to cover my yard with gardens but DH and kids don't agree:)
