One of my favorite gardens is Jennifer Bartley's potager...so I think I want to do four large beds, with plantings around the edges. I like her paths in between the beds, but I really want a large arbor in the middle, covered with grapes. A nice shady spot for a table and chairs...great place to eat or have drinks, right in the middle of the garden! {{!gwi}}From Lavender's Garden

So, are you actually going to have a yard rather than all that acreage?
That's my problem. I have too much area to tackle all at once without throwing a bunch of $ into the project!
I have my vege garden somewhat in control (raised beds), but my back yard is a disaster after loosing my beautiful Chinese elm! My front yard is now the dog's yard and the rest are fields LOL. Nancy

We have our arbor on the south side of the garden so it creates minimal shade for our plants. The greenhouse is in the middle, with a patio in front of it, and we have a peach tree that offers shade for the metal love seat beneath it.
