Queen annes lace or similar flower?

I love the look of Queen Annes Lace and would love it in my meadow, is it difficult to start from seed? I've read it's a bi-annual, is there any other "lace cap" type of flower I could use that is an annual and easy to grow so I don't have to wait? I'm in the mountains of northern california at the base of mt shasta.

Ammi visagna and Orlaya grandiflora are both easy to grow annuals that are in the same family as Queen Annes Lace and will bloom pretty quickly from seed. They are both great plants. QAL should be pretty easy and quick too though "weedier" looking. Still beautiful and a good look for a meadow.

What about Ammi majus, Bishop's Flower. It is an annual and it will reseed. The foliage is more attractive than Queen Anne's Lace, IMHO and the flower is almost the same.
