Turning over virgin soil

I live on a kansas prairie, just moved here. I have a large brush field that I would like to turn over for for red clover, and a few rows of corn. I was planning on burning it as soon as the weather permits. Can I sow clover seed this spring after burning? thanks
sophia

It's been a long time since your original post here so I'm wondering if you have plowed and planted your pasture? Cheryl
