Seeder for Fluffy Native Warm Grass Seeds

I would like to convert some of my pasture to NWSG. I plan to start with a 2 acre field that has had nothing but annual rye for a couple of years. I ordered a mix of debearded big bluestem, little bluestem, and indian grass.

I have already killed the rye grass and disked and smoothed the field. I had planned to cultipack it spread the seed, and then cultipack it again. The seed dealer said I should be able to use my Baltimatic spreader with the agitator arm attached, but today I could not get the agitator arm to attach. The attachment pin is frozen.

I have thought about ordering an ATV type Truax seed slinger but the cost is about $700, and I hate spending that much unless I am confident it will work. Are there any less expensive seeders that would work? Even the debearded seed is still too fluffy to get through my earthway seeder.

Thanks,

Charles
