Tickseed maintenance??

My tickseed (Coreopsis lanceolata) made a nice floral display this spring but flowering was cut short by the dry May we're having. The patches are mostly seedheads now. To insure that it comes back nicely next year, should I cut the plants back (some are 3-4' tall) or just let it all go to seed?

It will come back from the roots. If you want lots more, let the seeds fall to the ground and germinate.
