Can anyone tell me if wine cup (callirhoe involucrate),should be planted in the fall or spring in zone 7b? Also is there any special planting instructions foe these seeds? As do they need soaked etc.?

They need a cold wet period before they will germinate, also helps to scarify the seed coat. They normally dont grow much the first year. With luck they will flower the second year. Well worth the wait

Mine are blooming now. Mine always reseed and can bloom the first year sometimes. I just love winecups. I also have the tall ones that are annuals.

Here is a link that might be useful: Winecup

I winter sowed some of these this year, but only got one sprout. The plant is looking pretty good, but does anyone know if one of these is enough to propagate? I would like more.

Thanks!
