Rain Damaged W. Flowers

Hello,

I am a first time Wildflower Meadow grower. I am starting with a rather small area (17 X 4 ft) for my first try.

The seeds germinated, and the plants were growing amazingly. All the seedlings were approximately 6 inches tall when the rains came.

The heavy rain flatened many of the seedlings. I thought they would dry off and stand tall again...like many other plants. It doesn't look like they will. The flatened plants look to be rotting now. I have many plants that are still standing but I am wondering if the rotting plants underneath them all will hurt them.

I did not do anything with the plants after the rain. I figured "They are wildflowers....they should be used to this", but now I am worried.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Craig
