flower envy! why are mine so slow?

| I've been patiently waiting for my black eyed susans, purple coneflowers and blanketflowers to bloom but only the blanketflowers are close. Yet around town and in nurseriess I see others already in bloom. How can they get theirs going so soon? I don't fertilize because I thought these types of flowers didn't need it. Could it just be more heat in the city? We are out in the country a bit. |
