I didn't think it would work but I have a nice little row of cornflowers. :-) Now they are getting tall and lanky. I was wondering if I could cut them back? The problem is, they have already produced quite a few buds. I know I shouldn't be doing that sort of thing on plants with buds. I appreciate your advice. Also, I grew 2 in pots until they had lots of roots then transplanted to the ground. These are thicker and healthier than the ones grown from seed put directly into the ground..
