reason for weak color?

does anyone have an idea of why my 'magnus' coneflowers are
so weak in color? the plant itself looks healthy and dark green, howver the petals are a 'washed' out pink.
these are newly-this summer-transplanted.

I think you were probably lucky to get blooms at all! It's probably because they're newly transplanted. Next year, they will be fine. April

I have noticed that the purple coneflowers that grow in a shady area of my garden have that pale/washed out look. I wonder if it is the lack of direct sunlight?
