Prairie flower ID

I found this blooming in my lily bed this week. I've searched online but couldn't ID it. Sorry I don't know the terminology, but here is the description. The stem is smooth, straight, non-branched, with leaves shaped like narrow teardrops coming off it, with light parallel ribs and smooth edges. The leaves are single and come off at different angles, with a couple inches vertically between leaves. The leaves angle upwards. The plants I found ranged from about 8-14 inches tall. The flower is at the top of the stem, one flower per plant. There are two deep blue petals arched up and back, and hanging below, three off-white stamens and three bright yellow pistils with brown centers.

Does anyone know what it is? Thanks so much for any help.
