Clasping Coneflower...harvesting seed

Posted by Vera_EWASH z5 EasternWA (My Page) on

Would harvesting seed from this be the same as from Echinacea? They have been in bloom for ever and only a few are just now losing some petals. There are still more buds not yet flowered. How long does it usually take from flower to seed with Clasping Coneflower? We probably will have our first frost by Halloween.

Thanks

Vera

Yippie! Seeds finally :)
Just rub the thumb across the seed head and out they fall! I guess that's nothing like seed from Echinacea seed heads.
