| Narrow-leaved Puccoon is one of the common names for Lithospermum incisum. It's more commonly called Fringed Puccoon. It seems very unlikely that the plant you are trying to identify is a Puccoon. The seed is very hard to come by. I have never heard of it being included in a wildflower mix, even from a native plant nursery. The flower is yellow rather than orange (as depicted in joepyeweed's pic). If you could post a pic of your wildflower, perhaps someone here could assist on the ID. |

| here is a guess. http://www.americanmeadows.com/bulk_ind_detail.cfm?itemid=72 that's pretty popular in seed mixes. a wallflower. i think siberian is the most common one. and ive seen puccoons show up after a 'meadow' type of management is introduced. i agree u prolly didnt get it in a seed mix. Hoary can get quite orange in my part of the world. froggy |
