Where is my side-oats grama?

| I don't understand. Lot's of LBS (+ more who've just popped up within last month), some volunteer scribner's panicgrass, voluteer clumps of idaho sheep fescue, plains coreopsis, stiff coreopsis, BES, an un-identified legume trifoliate and other unknown plants...there are some 'other' thin bladed grasses coming in, but I don't know if it's SOG or not? How the heck do I tell? I don't see the bumps with hairs on any of the blades as I've seen described ...or does this come as it matures? I don't know whether to order more SOG and re-seed this fall or wait? I am going to add June Grass and an understory this year.
Thank you,
Vera |

| if you seeded it this year - you may not see any until next year? i would probably wait one more season before i tried to reseed it - and in my plantings side oats grama tends to grow in earlier than the LBS - its up and tall in july and about the time the SOG is going to seed is when LBS starts really growing tall ... |

Vera the bumps and hairs on the leaves are distinctive and do appear even on first few blades. I agree with joepye that you may not see any till next year. I find that it can take 3 years here for germination. |
