LBS and seedbed prep

| Hi, All!
I have 2 questions for your advice:
1) How should I overwinter my baby LBS? They are in 4" pots.
2) I am starting a seedbed for some tallgrass natives. I sprayed with glyphosate last week and intend to plant later in the fall or next spring or both. What is the typical prep procedure for areas intended as seedbeds for prairie natives?
Thanks, and a pleasant Autumn to all.

| Multiple spray treatments through a full growing season are generally recommended to assure that you kill troublesome perennials, which may not be actively growing at the time of a single spraying. |

| I should have mentioned I sprayed for the LAST time 2 weeks ago; I also sprayed two times before that--June and August. I'm hoping I don't have a prob with annual crabgrass like I did last planting (Feb. 05, over snow). I am assuming I disturbed the seedbed when I raked in the seeds? This year I will plant in November. Your feedback? |

| Last time I participated in native seed planting, at a county forest preserve, we planted in early november, and we raked the seed in. Then they came along and rolled the area. April |
