Wild plant ID please....

This is a plant that was growing along side my yard. I also live near a creek. I am in the foothills of NC. There were more of them but most only had one leaf? Which was attached to a carrot like bulb. Orangish/Red in color. Some of the bulbs in the area were showing from soil erosion.
