I just bought a bank owned condo and i don't have any access to get in the garage, on top of the door has a key hole and it's has the key pad outside the door. The problem is the bank doesn't have the code nor the key to it. What should i do with this situation? Should i call the locksmith or should i call the garage door company or is there anything I can do to get it open? Thanks in advance for the help.

Here is what I would try. Get the make of the garage door opener(e.g. is it a Genie, Sears...) Go to a Lowe's, Sears (if it is a Craftsman), HomeDepot and tell them that you need a replacement remote control and that you don't know the code. They should be able to help you. Once you have the remote working then it should be easier to get the Keypad working. Also, go to the website of the keypad manufacturer and they may have suggestions or instructions. That is what I would do, not necessarily what will eventually work. The Locksmith will be $100-150. Heck, you can get a new opener for that. Pife

I would bet there is some keypad code that you could type in to reset the pad. Contact the manufacturer... and if that fails, I bet you can just replace the controller fairly inexpensively...
