I live in southern texas in a pine forest so it also has to be able to live with pine needles.

I used to have st augustine at my old house and would like something that grows nice and even like that but all I can find that'll grow in full-shade looks kinda patch/ grows in little buntches.

If anyone knows of something that could work for me please let me know :)

Consider landscaping instead of turf grass. You will have much better luck finding landscape plants that meet your criteria.

I would probably reach out to the Texas Native Plant society for assistance in finding plants appropriate for soil and climate.

Personally, I prefer the landscaping idea myself however.
