Repetitive motion injuries?

| I'm a professional interior landscaper, and I have tendinitis (specifically deQuervain's disease) in my right wrist from overuse. While I've been healing the right wrist over the last several weeks, the left one is having similar overuse issues, for which I am going to see the doc again.
I'm on leave from work right now and very impatient to get back to work. But I am also concerned that continuing to work in this way is going to leave me with permanent hand problems. I love my job, but it's not worth ruining my body for the rest of my life. I'm not really qualified to do much else. Help? |

| Have you ever heard of trigger point therapy? A bit of research should give you lots of information. My husband and I 'swear' by it. Also, acupuncture is often successful with your kind of problem. |

| I was having major wrist pain after all the spring planting last year and a few trips to the acupuncturist got rid of it completely. based on what the acupuncturist said, I was storing 'heat' and that was causing the inflammation. so now if I have a day that's hard on my wrist I ice it gently at the end of the job and it doesn't hurt the next day. hope you get better. |
