NE PA - need pro advice on hedge type, source

I am in Scranton, PA and recently removed 4 large spruce trees and now need to replace a 60'run with something at least 6' tall to start and 20' max would probably be fine. Although I won't be in this house for ever so how tall they grow in 10 or 20 years isn't really my concern. I looked at emerald arborvitae but they look a bit too "tight" or formal for me. American arborvitae seems a bit "looser" and less formal and more to my taste. I really do not know what I am doing and this is in a visible spot so I want to do the right thing. I want it to provide visual privacy as well as a distinct boundary to discourage people from cutting through our property when walking. Any other planting suggestions and a good source would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ron
