Assiniboine Park Horticulturalist

You will provide leadership, vision, and strategic planning for the management and development of our conservatory and horticultural operations in Assiniboine Park. As a key administrative member, you will guide horticulture and beautification measures in the development of an urban best destination by developing and implementing cost efficient and effective strategies and working closely with business, volunteer, and community partners.

Education and experience required:

- a degree in plant sciences, natural resources management, environmental sciences,landscape architecture or a related discipline

- five years of senior management experience in sophisticated horticulture services, park administration or a directly related field

- proven success in extensive collaboration with volunteer, non-profit, and community organizations

- a demonstrated ability to develop and implement sound business, operating, and capital plans focused on business improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness

- excellent analytical and communication skills, report writing and presentation abilities to work effectively with a broad audience

- a Class 5 driver's licence
