Need advice on pot sizes, etc.

We have been selling field grown daylilies and would like to get into other perennials. I'm thinking of ordering some Bluestone "jumbos" which they say can be shifted into quarts for spring sales. I read on a previous thread that a quart pot will hold about 64 cubic inches of soil. I can't find anything that holds that amount. The 6" azalea pot holds 77.9 cubic inches. What size pot do you suggest I get to plant these perennials in?

As is obvious, I am a novice and would welcome advice. Just don't tell me to give up because I can't!

There are tons of "# 1" pots out there waiting to be recycled.
3/4 of a gallon, a so called "trade gallon".

Be honest about container size volumes, because it is the law now in Pennsylvania.
And hopefully soon in other states.

superphosphate, thanks for the tip on "gallon" pots; however I'm trying to figure out what size a "quart" pot is. After several hours of internet searching I think I've figured it out. The best I can tell, a 5" round or a 4.5" square , 4" deep pot holds about a quart.

I am honest about everything:-)
