Your enthusiasm just spills over into your posting. I have a feeling if you just get in for an interview the prospective employers would feel the same way. Emphasise those things you have taken upon yourself to get better at your vocation. The self-starters and those who don't wait to be pushed to improve their skills and education are those whom I'd be most interested in interviewing.

Your background looks very well-rounded, and it's not boastful to describe what things you believe to be your strong points. Try to translate what you have done into what they're looking for. Learn a bit about their operation and needs. Gardeners are often left a lot to their own devices without direct supervision. People who are able to function independently are hard to find. I agree with all the above. Stress your ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision. Emphasize your plant knowledge and what was required to receive professional certification. These are all valuable attributes that should put you ahead of the pack.

Yes, "horticulturalist" is starting to pop up all over. So you could spell it that way just from having seen it elsewhere.
