Thanks. Yes, I have read that but I also read certain states' requirements and it seemed a couple of other chemicals were acceptable, so I thought things may have changed. I am still not sure. My agriculture inspection man says he will ask for me. I worry that Dursban is more hazardous to be exposed to than most chemicals. I don't like it.

That is the newest version of the JB harmonization plan I linked to, so that is current, but you are right in that not all states (including California and Oregon) accept all provisions of that plan.

Your inspector should be able to help you sort through the category 1 states individual requirements, but if you can do a drench instead of a dip, you have more and safer chemical choices, and less exposure to the insecticide. Even California (the strictest of all states) will accept a bifenthrin drench as a curative treatment any time of year, instead of applied just before flight season.

And I would be looking for an alternative to the Dursban dip too...that is no fun...and dangerous!
