please help me. i have two large bradford pear trees. i have noticed small holes on the trunks of the trees. these holes go around the trunk of the tree, but i have not found any sawdust at the base of the tree. I have noticed now that the leaves are starting the curl. what is the problem. i have sprayed with malathan once. please help me save these trees.

The problem you described sounds like sapsucker damage, if thats the case Malathion will be ineffective. See link before doing anything else.
